Stroller Running Mom

Pushing my baby around up and down  hills and roads was a beautiful and challenging,  loving and bonding experience. I ran until 6 months along when pregnant,  had a drug free birth,  I never had post partum, I only gained 23lbs and lost all of it in 2 weeks and nursed for a year even whilst working full time.   I attribute all this to running!I I even PRd 9 months after birth and BQd 2 yrs later. Ladies, you can do this.

The universe did not  bless me with another but pregnancy and early motherhood was a wonderful time. The 33 hrs of labor not so much but talk about an ultra! So don't be worried about losing fitness. And I know my child now 15, is healthy and athletic ..because I like to think first fond memory was of mom and kid special time while  I pushed him along.

I hope that any angel looking at me is not weeping. I hope he or she is smiling that I am running and healing of all injuries.

June 6, 7:30 am Manassas Battlefield. This is the first time I'm putting on a race so it seemed appropriate that it's a Fatass  (free) so I'm trying to plan properly. I'm hoping this info helps whoever shows up to run.

Am I the only one that can't get their act together before a race? Decades of running and I've never been this prepared. Ok maybe once when I put a binder together for my 50 mile crew person.

We are such outdoor lovers, we are amused when our cats come in with gifts like this. My runner friend Andy, and fellow friend of felines sent me this photo. Isn't it cute? Cuter than the rattlesnake we ran into on a trail run one time that is for damn sure.

Extra as legs at Ragnar

So a bunch of the runners on this Ragnar team in DC punked out and I was asked to be a runner on the team. But they couldn't recruit two so I guess I'm running extra legs. This oughta be fun on zero training.
