Ran it with Janet Fatass 50k Sign Up
Proceeds and donations to benefit local food banks and homeless shelters in Northern Virginia. We would appreciate donations to help alleviate the cost of running this fundraiser but mostly to assist local food banks and shelters. Your miles and contributions are most welcome. Donations to be handled old fashioned way for now (bring a check to the event) until we get an online automated contributions set up for donor's convenience. We will also collect donations such as household goods, gift certificates and clothing at the time of the event.

Happy New Year!
2. Superhero Dancing. See below.
3. Remove from my life Shitty Shady (Sh²) Nebulous Narcissistic (N²) Lying Loser (L²) Sicko Sociopaths (S²) pretending to help you at races and daily life but they just want to get in your pants along with everyone else's and are hindering your progress to becoming a better runner and person in general even when you are trying to help them with their own jacked up life but they stab you in the back and lie to your face and ruin your health and keep you injured physically and mentally for the entire year because they lack conscience, remorse, or any moral compass. Try NOT to hate everybody just because the best running buddy ever turned out to be an unethical untrustworthy undependable lying sack of shit. Try to forget that all that bonding on long runs where we talked about philosophy, music, politics, books, training, love, art, war was not actually a mind meld accelerated by endorphins but was a bunch of bullshit intended to misrepresent themself for someone who actually gave a fuck about you. Yea fuck those guys. Too bad this Douchebag Dwarf (D²) was awesome crew but fuck you.

How to Lose Weight in 4 Easy Steps by Aaron Bleyaert
How to Lose Weight in 4 Easy Steps
What a great read
HOW TO LOSE WEIGHT IN 4 EASY STEPS
This is a big one, and one that you’ve probably heard before. Every time you drink a beer, it’s like eating seven slices of bread. That’s a lot of bread!
This is especially true when you go out to eat at restaurants. A good trick to do is when your meal comes, cut it in half and right away ask for a takeout container, so that you can save the rest for later — and even better, if you start your meal out right by ordering lean meats and veggies, you’ll slim down in no time!
And not just broken; shattered. Into itsy bitsy tiny little pieces, by a girl who never loved you and never will. Join the gym at your work. Start going to the gym regularly, and even though you don’t know that much about exercise and you’re way too weak to do pretty much anything but lift 5 lb weights and use the elliptical machines with the old people, do it until your sweat makes a puddle on the floor. Then go home and go to bed early and the next day do it again. And then again. And then again.
Too much sugar!!!

Track
I dread track work. But I also love it.
In the beginning, track is fun. Nice. You love track. You think you'll always have faith that track will always give you that high. But then you race, and you compete with others and you are disappointed. Your workouts yielded results for others but not for you. Track did not love you back. You find that track betrayed you. And it takes a while, to come back to track because you know track will bring you pain. But you still hope. No matter how much older you are, how much time has passed, you cannot give up your passion for the adrenaline rush, the agony, the ecstacy, the speed, the heartache and the trail of blood and tears left behind as you go faster and deeper into the abyss of this addiction. That's track. You can hear the tragedy and triumph in your lungs as you give this love all you got. Bring it.

Three Months
Milestone. It's been three months that I started my journey back to recovery. Every injury is very frustrating.
But this last one. This last one lingers and is particularly painful. However, I can run again. May was difficult, my body was traumatized but I forced myself to run because it was my relief. My escape.
As with every injury, this one will leave a mark. A deep scar that always hurts that becomes my new normal. Sometimes, it flares up unexpectedly and I grimace with pain. However, I am thankful that I can find joy in running even during my most difficult times. With each run, I cleanse my soul and often find answers to my most perplexing questions. Long may you run.
